At 7:00 p.m. on July 24, 2018, President Paul Kagame, Chairperson of South Africa, held a banquet to welcome Chinese leaders’ state visit to South Africa and celebrate the 20^th anniversary of China-South Africa diplomatic ties. President Xi Jinping of China and his wife Peng Liyuan were invited to attend the banquet. On the state visit welcome banquet, President Paul Kagame saluted and welcomed the Chinese delegation. The two countries renewed friendship and talked about the bright prospect of China-South Africa relations and China-Africa relations in warm and friendly atmospheres.

President Xi Jinping pointed out that although China and South Africa have a bright future for cooperation, we still need to keep moving forward. As China and South Africa embark on a new journey of development, we should make more efforts to join hands, have our hearts linked and help each other realize our development dreams. I firmly believe that with the firm support of people from the two countries, we will surely make new achievements in China-South Africa relations in the new era.
